Relaxed oral hygiene

Spending one or two hours in the dental chair are not uncommon in microscope dentistry. To make oral hygiene more enjoyable and keep our patients relaxed and engaged, we offer a variety of distractions to help them relax and unwind during the treatment.

With our video glasses, you can watch films or series from a streaming platform and enjoy a relaxing experience during your dental treatment. If you prefer to close your eyes and listen to music or a podcast, you will be given headphones to help you relax. With these distraction options, you can enjoy your oral hygiene routine in a relaxed, almost wellness-like experience. If you fall asleep, we will reliably wake you up at the end of the treatment.

Many patients choose to watch the oral hygiene assistant in real-time as they work on their teeth. A camera integrated into the microscope allows you to follow the tooth cleaning process through video goggles. This lets you observe the cleaning process up close and understand why regular, targeted dental care at home is essential for maintaining lasting dental health.

Please do not hesitate to let us know your individual wishes. Tell us if something bothers you or if the treatment is unpleasant. There is also more than one road that “leads to Rome” when it comes to oral hygiene. For very sensitive teeth and tooth necks, we offer the option to skip standard ultrasonic cleaning and use only hand instruments for a gentler approach.

We also work with a powder jet device – the AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master with warm water. You won’t feel the surface of your teeth being cleaned.

We treat your teeth with “AIRFLOW PLUS Prophylaxis Powder” as a standard practice. AIRFLOW® PLUS powder is a high-tech powder for the minimally invasive removal of biofilm and young tartar from all types of surfaces such as

• Tooth enamel
• Dentin
• Soft tissue
• Tongue and palate
• Milk teeth
• Orthodontic appliances
• Implant surfaces
• Restorations.

The erythritol-based PLUS powder can be used above and below the gum line, effectively removing plaque even in hard-to-reach interdental spaces.
